Hi:
Preparation time depends on individual, one month should be the norm. Check
IBM site for books, objective, and sample test. There will be no title for this exam alone, but it is part of many other titles.
HTH.

Hi there,
It took me two months to prepare for this exam -- mostly because I read Larman's book from end to end.
Here's how I prepared:
1. Read Larman's book on Applying UML and Design Patterns (2nd ed.). The bulk of the test seems based on this book.
2. Continually (on a daily basis) take the ICE UML mock exam. It's hard. When you start passing it on a regular basis, then you're ready for the test.
3. Parts of the exam were based on Martin Fowler's Distilled UML, particularly questions about state diagrams and superstates. The emphasis of your study should be on Larman's book though. Fowler's book is supplemental IMHO.
Cheers,
Darryl
