His LDF is mostly empty and space has only been reserved and set with an initial size of 13GB or it auto grew because at some point there were a lot of transactions being recorded in the LDFJulien Vavasseur– Julien Vavasseur2015-10-23 12:31:07 +00:00Commented Oct 23, 2015 at 12:31
- @user2347976 If this is critical data then you definitely need to change that strategy you're using. I do at a minimum FULL backups once a day and then LOG backups hourly or more often depending on the applications they're tied to, etc., how critical they are for the business, etc. You have to plan ahead of time and ensure you understand how to restore as knowing how to backup and assuming will getcha sometimes when it's too late. . . You have to do your homework and be proactive if this is driving critical business processes or applications. Good luck!IT Thug Ninja– IT Thug Ninja2015-10-23 19:02:41 +00:00Commented Oct 23, 2015 at 19:02

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. sql-server), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
