The key to free ourselves from suffering is to first acknowledge and understand suffering itself. Instead of ignoring it, we should recognize that it is there. We should accept it.
The first noble truth is about suffering that all living beings face in life:
Not being able to have something you want is suffering
Death is suffering
Getting old is suffering
Parting from someone is suffering
Being somewhere you do not like is suffering
And so on…in short life is suffering
But once we understand and accept this truth then we can begin to live in harmony with life, and you will relieve yourself from your frustrations, and complaining, and general unhappiness when things do not go your way.
The second noble truth comes after accepting suffering and now understanding the causes of suffering so we can eliminate the causes to live a Buddhists way of life.
The third noble truth is the end of suffering itself Nibbana this is the achievement for Buddhists, this is a person who has lived and refrained from attachment, hatred, selfishness, and delusion and lived his life with mindfulness, compassion. This may take one or more life times to achieve.
The fourth noble truth is the way to accept suffering, the wisdom to see the cause of suffering and the path leading us to the end of suffering is call Noble Eightfold Path. It is Middle Path avoiding both extremes of practice: self-torture and self-indulgence. These eight factors should be followed in daily life:
It is divided into three forms of training…
Sharing (Dana) Moral ethics (Sila) Meditation (bhavana)
They should all be practised equally none more that the other or less than the other.
This is the eightfold path that leads to Enlightenment…
