  • Thanks for the insight, and I did presume that I'd still need to have hook_functions to register properly within Drupal but I am curious at how modules implement it. I'll take a look at the views module (and hopefully not get lost) - please update your answer if you find any more isolated cases/examples of patterns you find :D Commented Apr 8, 2011 at 14:32
