However, I'm not sure I understand whether you mean to say that the ground truth would be the straight line path or it would be noisy path? This was my first point of confusion in my question. I think it ought to be the noisy path, but my profs seem to say that the ground truth is the straight line path. If you see my comment under TimWescott's answer, the only way I can think which they are correct is if the intention of Q is to "allocate" part of measurement noise into process noise. | |
