Jan 8, 2017 at 9:30 comment added UnholySheep A bit of subjective input: graphics performance tends to actually be worse on Linux than on windows, due to the manufacturers focusing on the bigger target market. The open source drivers, while certainly not bad, tend to also fall behind in performance (especially on older hardware - on the newest GPUs the proprietary drivers seem to be close to on par with windows performance). Where I usually observe better performance on Linux is in CPU based applications (probably fewer background processes)
