Demon: The Frutang
Any thoughts on White Wolf revamping Demon for the "New" World of Darkness this fall?

It's said to be based on the "God Machine" story from the 2004 World of Darkness core book. One developer said it would be a game of "gnostic espionage", which is certainly intriguing.

I attack the darkness!
The website I work for just released this subtitler game, so I thought I'd share my geekness with the world. This is only one of the ones I've made... this thing is like crack.

Cheers!

STARGATE WORLD
QUESTION FOR PC GAMERS

A NEW GAME IS COMING OUT CALLED STARGATE WORLD ITS AN MMORPG.

I am very interested, however I am unsure if my computer can take it.  I played WOW last year and experienced my computer screen randomly blinking.  My character would than have already proceed into danger and died during my blink.  My computer is a dell and is 3yrs old.  My memory capacity is about used up, due to downloaded songs and movies.  I was thinking I would need to upgrade the computer, but have been advised that buying one would be a better option.  I’m not a mega pc gamer, I’m more into PS3 than pc games, however due to my love for SG1, there is no other option than my computer MUST work.  I have never done more than upgrade my memory, however I am willing to attempt an overhaul on my computer if necessary to play in the stargate world.

Advice is much needed.

AAAUGH (also, new Changeling?)
My poor, neglected community. D:
Sorry about all this.

On an moderately related note, my fiance got me a copy of Changeling: the Lost and I ADORE it.

Anyone else have thoughts on the New World of Darkness? It's an interesting setting, especially with the intended emphasis on moral quandaries and the importance of maintaining a certain level of Morality (or Humanity, Wisdom, Clarity, Harmony, and whatever it is that Promethean uses) and how it is affected by your character's actions.

Some games you can't force to play...
To tell you the truth though, I've played games that are very thick in content such as GTA:San Andreas (and got bored), Unreal Tournament (addictive), Conker Live and Reloaded (ribald, but satisfying), and more. But there's one game series that I just can't force myself to play.

So I went to best buy today and got a crazy look'n gamepad (n52), and went and look at some PS2 games. "I still need some ideas for a game I'm make that uses traps..." and once again, I ran into tecmo's deception series, TRAPT. The game has the trap system that you use to dispatch your victoms in the most gory manner, blah blah, and good stuff...

BUT! I'll be damn if I've to be in any side with "a" devil to kill off people and send them to his place. Not even using his junkary to do so.

So I sat that sucker back on the shelf and started to look for another source of trap based game ideas. Unfortunately, it's the only one of it's type (well that's what I read, but I doubt it).

Oh well...

a bad idea in a long history of bad ideas
ladies. gentlemen. nathan (hee hee).

i have purchased "the world's largest dungeon." i will attempt to run it this summer for a group of people who have been gaming much longer than me. it will be the first thing i have run for most of them, and something like the third or fourth thing i have run EVAR (with only two of those having lasted more than three sessions).

...i'm going to die. and this is only IF i survive exams next week.

any advice?

Online Game; Nethack
So we got two people interested in running a game online so far, I'll have to see if I can find one or two more other interested people who actively use their internet connection.

On a side note, does anyone here play nethack?

Want to play a game?
I can't get a local group started, so I was wondering who on here wanted to try getting an online D&D game going if I offered to run it?

AD&D Bad-Guy building question.
No one's posted here in quite a while. Hopefully you're all doing well.

This won't help me for this session, since I'm almost done now, but for future reference: does anyone have any techniques for slapping together epic-level wizards for their PCs to fight? Preferably ones that don't take forever?

It's taken me almost 2 hours to design this 23rd level "Worm That Walks", even using the straight-outta-the-book formula. I normally play either rogues or meat-shields, so designing good MUs is a challenge for me.

Anyway, pleasant weekend to all.

Ooooooohh, new systems!
Has anyone ever played a system called Feng Shui? It's basically a simplified version of Fuzion (kind of) meant to recreate hong-kong-style action movies (or just really good 80's action movies).

BEST. RPG. EV-ER.

Wow. The character sheets are so simple it's brilliant. Character creation is a snap. Combat goes quickly, smoothly, and well, it's just really freakin' good. The only dice you need are 2 D6s. 2 D6s!!!! And it WORKS.

I had so much fun playing last night.

On the downside, I have found that since I no longer work the overnight shift, gaming until until 3:00 a.m. hurts me now. Serves me right for all those times my Conan sessions stretched until dawn. Sorry, guys...
