HadI had the same issue. I just and changed the extension from KMZ to ZIP, clicking. Clicking the ZIP file leadslead me to the KML file, then made the import from the programs (QGISboth QGIS and ArcGis). Both worked. Only... ArcGis is soooo sloooow..ArcGIS Desktop work.

I had the same issue and changed the extension from KMZ to ZIP. Clicking the ZIP file lead me to the KML file, then made the import from both QGIS and ArcGIS Desktop work.
