- Thanks for the answer and great work! So you need individual approval from ESRI for redistribution?geographika– geographika2012-01-11 08:21:55 +00:00Commented Jan 11, 2012 at 8:21
- 1For the OSGeo4W case, I wanted to have it up asap so people could use it. So I e-mailed people at ESRI directly and the e-mail thread trickled to the right person. However, as far as I understand, they are revising the legal wording so it is more clear. The intention was for people to use it and include it. However, it is clear that the legal wording says otherwise. Sort of shows how things work in a large corporation :) It is a matter of time before it gets revised and updated appropriately.Ragi Yaser Burhum– Ragi Yaser Burhum2012-01-11 18:03:00 +00:00Commented Jan 11, 2012 at 18:03
- @KirkKuykendall AFAIK from the e-mail thread I had, the intention is 'yes'. Nevertheless, the best course of action for non-osgeo4w usages is to post the question in the forum.Ragi Yaser Burhum– Ragi Yaser Burhum2012-01-11 18:05:53 +00:00Commented Jan 11, 2012 at 18:05
- I just downloaded the setup exe and installed it. After running 'ogr2ogr --formats', I do not see FGDB support listed.user714157– user7141572013-01-22 22:17:15 +00:00Commented Jan 22, 2013 at 22:17

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. arcgis-desktop), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
