| Nov 18, 2024 at 22:18 | comment | added | Xavier Pons | Disclaimer: Obtaining a DEM from contour lines is not particularly well solved in general: Interpolating from the vertices of lines loses the spatial nature of the contours, and TIN also has other drawbacks too long to be covered here; Douglas already drew attention to the need of specific algorithms, more than 20 years ago. We published a paper that can be downloaded at ResearchGate (look for IsoMDE). The question was asked in a general GIS forum and, just to be helpful, I suggested the free and scriptable tool derived from that research :- ) | |
