Confusion about server configuration file and documentation

Where is the server configuration file?

Where should the server configuration file be stored when using the PHAR?

The 'Admin Interface' documentation says:

you can change this in the configuration file

... without explaining where this configuration file should be.

Someone asked the same question in issue #209. Reply:

If a .expose.php file exists within the working directory of the server, this will be used. Otherwise the server looks for a file in this location: ~/.expose/config.php

However, upon starting expose as follows:

/usr/bin/php /home/expose/expose serve <stripped> 

... neither file is accessed (confirmed with strace). In other words: placing .expose.php in the working directory has no effect.

Running expose with -vvv does not yield any useful output.

--basicAuth option does not exist

expose -h outputs that the following options are supported:

... but --basicAuth does not exist. When passing it, Expose exits with:

The "--basicAuth" option does not exist.

Search bar in documentation does not work

Nothing happens when entering a search term (even when there should definitely be a result), nor when pressing enter.

Tested on macOS 13.3.1 and Firefox 116.0.2.

Hyperlinks in documentation are broken

Many hyperlinks in the documentation redirect to 'Introduction'.

Examples:

• Here, when clicking 'extending Expose'.
• Here, when clicking 'publish the configuration file'.

SQLite absence should be handled properly

When the SQLite PHP extension is not available, the internal process php expose --sqlite-worker exists. This causes requests to /users (admin panel) to hang.

System requirements should be clearly documented, and when not met, an error should be logged.

Just found the --config option in expose serve. It should be documented.
