• Improved our path detection heuristic to avoid various annoying, unnecessary permissions requests:
  • Running many standard bash/PowerShell commands that are known to be readonly (Fixes part of https://github.com/github/sweagentd/issues/7372)
  • Commands like npm test -- --something in PowerShell
  • Shell redirections like > some_file.txt in paths you've already granted write permissions, > /dev/null, and 2>&1 (Fixes > /dev/null and 2>&1 should be special-cased to not require permission #211)
  • Arguments to gh api like gh api /repos/user/repo/ec (Fixes The Copilot CLI asks for permission to access the /repos/Neoteroi/rodi folder used in the 'gh api /repos/Neoteroi/rodi' tool command #216)

Woo! I see mention of being able to run an npm test! Tried it out and we're still definitely blocked without the hackaround but maybe that means you guys are looking into nodejs support?

Very much looking forward to when you guys are able to support nodejs/webdev with this thing! Pretty sure there's a lot of us interested and watching.
