Graphics acceleration is really important for some of my use cases because they are open-gl heavy applications. Running Qemu without open-gl support makes them unusable.

I'd like to see this "just work" on an AMD system as well as on an Intel system

I don't know what exactly the Intel GPU drivers that get installed are, or what an equivalent might be for AMD; but if I get pointed in the right direction, I could attempt to make this work. It looks like maybe it's as easy as just installing a different xorg video driver?
