No documentation for Portal component (react)

All examples of Dialog (react) show usage of <Portal>, but there is no documentation anywhere on what this component is or what it does. Notably it is not mentioned under "anatomy". A dedicated page under "Components" or "Utilities" is warranted.

• How does it work?
• When should it be used?
• What are the similarities / differences to React's createPortal?
