The feedback I received mentioned the following issues:

Two‑factor authentication was not enabled

Billing information did not match my academic document

GitHub profile name did not exactly match my academic affiliation document

I’ve now addressed all of these points:

✅ Enabled 2FA

✅ Updated billing information with my full legal name (no payment method added)

✅ Updated my GitHub profile name to exactly match my academic document (no nickname or variation)

✅ Logged out and logged back in after making all changes

Before reapplying, I wanted to ask the community:

Are these steps sufficient for verification?

Is there anything else I should double‑check to avoid another rejection?

Any tips on which academic document works best for successful verification?

I’d really appreciate feedback from anyone who has gone through this process recently.

Hey everyone!

My name is Marcel, I'm currently in Grade 10 in Germany and visiting a Gymnasium.

My journey so far

I started out dabbling with microcontrollers and MicroPython, but didn't get very far before
I pivoted to the 100 Days of Python Bootcamp on Udemy which I actually completed!

After that, full-stack web development caught my eye, so I jumped into an HTML & CSS course,
and right now I'm working through a JavaScript course.

Where I'm headed (still figuring it out)

Honestly, I'm at a crossroads. I love the idea of:

• 🤖 Engineering — building robots, fighter jets, embedded systems
• 💻 Computer Science — web development, software, coding in general

Other interests — 3D Design & Printing

Outside of coding, I've been getting into 3D design. I use Fusion360 and Shapr3D
for CAD work, mostly designing functional parts and prototypes. I also went through
the Blender donut tutorial to get a feel for 3D modeling and rendering.

I print my designs on a Bambu Lab A1, which is probably where my interest in
engineering comes from — I like the process of designing something and turning it
into a physical object.

I'd love to find a path that combines both, maybe something like mechatronics,
aerospace engineering with software, or a CS degree with a hardware focus.

Looking for advice from

Anyone who's navigated a similar crossroads between software and hardware engineering,
or who's studying CS + engineering together. Would love advice! 🙌
