Access character variants in Adobe Illustrator

While I can access some of the character sets, I'm not able to access character variants through Illustrator's OpenType features. For example, there's no way to enable cv05. I can find and replace individual glyphs, but that's rather tedious. Per the instructions, I've installed the ttc and ttf versions. Am I missing something? Note that this works as expected in Figma.
