Hier mijn bijdrage voor Mixed Media Monday: het is niet allemaal zwart wit. En hoe waar is dit, ik had namelijk een witte ondergrond gekozen met daarop wit zijdevloeipapier met wat zwart/witte kraaltjes eronder, toen met een applicator en alleen zwarte alcoholinkt het geheel gekleurd en daarna met de blending solution aan de gang, wat schetst mijn verbazing door de blending solution werd het zwart in plaats van lichter werd het blauw!!! Toch maar afgemaakt want vond de achtergrond toch wel erg mooi geworden met een plaatje van Alice in Wonderland, ook al een tegenvaller want had gedacht vandaag naar de film in de bioscoop te gaan, maar hij draait nog niet hier in de buurt, moet ik wachten tot volgende week zondag ;o( Als ik van de week nog tijd vind ga ik proberen om er een te maken die wel echt zwart wit blijft LOL. Sorry, ik had zo mijn best gedaan! HIER kun je de tutorial vinden van de achtergrond.

Here my entry for Mixed media Monday: its not all black and white. And how true is that, I took a white piece of cardstock and covered it with white washy paper, underneath I glued some white and black beads, then I took a applicator and filled it with only black alcoholink and covered the whole cardstock, then I took some blending solution to lighten it up but HELP it turned blue. Because I liked the background anyway I decided to finish the card with this great image of Alice in Wonderland, another dissapointment today because we had planned to go the see this movie today to find out it was not in my neihboorhood yet so I’ll have to wait until next sunday ;o( When I find time this week I will try and make one that actually stays black and white LOL. Hier mijn bijdrage voor Sunday Postcard Art: reizen. Binnenkort gaan we een lang weekend naar Parijs omdat we 20 jaar getrouwd zijn en dan wil ik deze kaart meenemen, daar opsturen naar onszelf met een Franse postzegel en deze dan verwerken in mijn travel journal voor deze gelegenheid.

Here my entry for Sunday Postcard Art:  travel. Soon we will be travelling to paris to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I will take this card, put our own home address on it and then send it out with a french postal stamp, when it arrives at our home I will use it to make a travel journal of  our trip.

Een beetje laat maar hier is dan alsnog mijn bijdrage voor The Three Muses: oh man. De metalen achtergrond op dit canvasje heb ik gemaakt door een paar radertjes op de plaat van de cuttlebug te leggen, hier een stukje metal sheet op en dan door de cuttlebug te halen, nog wat verweerd met zwarte patina. Het prachtige plaatje komt van The Land of Nod.

A lit late but here is my entry for The Three Muses: oh man. The metal background on this canvas is made with the cuttlebug, layered some gears on a plate then put a piece of metall sheet on top, another plate and then ran through the cuttlebug. made a distressed looking by putting some black patin op top of it. The gorgeous image is from The Land of Nod.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Theme Thursday: art word(s). Vandaag even zittten spelen met mijn melting pot en UTEE naar aanleiding van een tutorial die ik op de blog van Ink on my Fingers zag, dank je wel Hels voor deze gave tutorial. Heb geen stempels zoals in de tutorial en dacht een kant en klare papieren bloem te kunnen gebruiken, en YES dat lukt, heb er nog een potlood bij gemaakt door hem in kleur te sponzen en te bestempelen en hem daarna aan de bloem te bevestigen met UTEE, vond het nog wat kaal dus nog wat zijde blaadjes in de meltingpot gelegd en deze gedrapeerd aan de onderkant van de bloem. Hij lijkt echt van glas….. COOL!!!!! Als laatste heb ik een rub-on gebruikt voor het woord op het vaasje.

Today I played around with my melting pot and UTEE after seeing a tutorial on the blog Ink on my Fingers, so thank you so much Hels for this awesome tutorial. I didn’t have those flower stamps so I took a finished paper flower and put it in the melting pot and it worked…YES!. I wanted a stem for the flower so I took a pencil coloured it with inks and rolled it over a text stamp that I had inked in with Stazon Black. Put the back of the pencil in the UTEE and then fasten the flower, It was a bit bare so I took some silk leaves put them in the UTEE as well and draped them around the bottom of the flower. It really looks like glass ……so COOL!!! And for the finishing touch I used a rub-on for the word on the little vase.
