Kennywood is doing well with their new roller coaster. Everything looks great. So far there is a lot of steel up, a good amount of the support structure is up anyways. The coaster looks to be a nice big addition to the roller coaster family for sure with it breaking a few records. If you can, come check it out next season!
The weather looks to be okay for the second weekend of Holiday Lights at Kennywood. Last weekend, for the opening weekend was not bad. The first night was warm and beautiful, which caused huge crowds. Saturday was a slow night as it was cold and rainy. But, it was great for the guests as there were no lines for any of the attractions. Sunday, I am not too sure as I did not work. But, the weather was not bad as far as I remember.
The park looks beautiful with all the lights and such. The new 90 foot tree is huge and the largest in PA. You can see it from the parking lot.
Well, anyways, try to come out to the park. It is cheap for the whole family. It is worth it!
I sure hope you had a chance to come out to the park for Phantom Fright Nights. This season was one of the best. Great crowds and great weather.
My crew was outstanding. We were all over social media and I am very proud of my crew.
Holiday Lights are coming up in a few weekends. This is a time that brings families together to look at beautiful light displays and take a ride on the train or another family favorite. I will be there at the park helping out so try to find me.
Kennywood continues to have magic... such a great family park. Make some plans to make new memories before the 2015 season fully ends.
Fall is well in season. Halloween Decorations are up and the typical fall chills are here. As always, this month is very busy for me, for both my husband and I ever since I got him started at Kennywood. It is something though that keeps me happy. I do love this time of the year as Halloween is such a fun holiday. I don't mind not having a day off for a month since it is so much fun and so rewarding for me. I get to manage a great group of actors for a season and I get to dress up and play from time to time myself. Seeing everything come together is so rewarding. Some people think it is easy to do, well it is not. There is a science behind it. You are looking at everyone walking through trying to see what is ahead and what your other actors are doing. Are they waiting for you, or are they going to do their own thing. Usually, you are always working with someone as team scares work well. You have props that make noise, you got to use them for your advantage. Get people distracted so you or another actor can come in and go for the scare. I get so excited over this. If I had the money or opertunity, I would open my own haunt. I love it so much. Between that and photography.... two things I love... oh and many other things.
I have been so happy with my haunt and actors. We did not get two things that I was promised for this season, but we were able to work around that. I have done a few things in the background to get our haunt more noticed. It is working out very well. My actors get cues from me and will do some great things. We really work together as a team.
Below is a video from in the loop. They caught some of my actors at an exit of a ride in Gory Park, my area. The ride is The Exterminator, which is the ride that I use to supervise for many years. I gave my actors some ideas and rules and they use them perfectly. As you will see, some great scares.
Another actor, also my team lead who helps me keep our haunt running smoothly, has two great characters. One is a favorite of many people, named Pinky. She is very unique and provides many screams and laughs throughout the season. Photo below.

Well folks, it is that time of the year again! Kennywood's Phantom Fright Nights are starting this Friday, October 2nd!!! Today I ran my dress rehearsal for my new members of Gory Park. It was fun as always. My area has a few changes so I was able to look around and see where things are at. You want me to tell you what they are huh? Sorry, you have to come out to the park to find out. I will say that Gory Park is smaller this year, thats the area that I run inside Kennywood. But, there are many changes around the park in many if not all of the haunts. So you should really come out and see for yourself if you are able to. Plus, we got to watch the new 4D theater showing friday the 13th. Pretty good. That is all I will say about that.
Anyways, We are open Fridays and Saturdays. One Sunday this month. So, come on out and see for yourself if you dare. They do such a great job there at the park and I am so very proud of them. It is such a nice park and you will always make a memory there.
How many times have you been out to Kennywood? The regular season is starting to slow down but the fun is not over! Kennywood's Phantom Fright Nights will be starting up october 2nd!!! 6-12am!!! Also, if Halloween is not your cup of tea, come out to Holiday Lights. It is very family friendly and has prooved to be a good time for sure. Come out and make some memories.

So, here it is! The start of another Kennywood Season!!! This year has a few updates to look for. There is a new 4D experience. I will say that there is water involved. LOL That is in the games building between the bumper cars and the music express. But overall, the park is ready for a new season. If you did not get your season passes, go to the parks website to grab yours. They have a few to choose from. You can also buy your day passes as well.
The sounds of Kennywood will be alive this Saturday. I remember when I worked there during regular season. The first day was so exciting. You had your training days and you felt ready but was still nervous. But, once you got into the groove, it became so much fun. Watching the guests roam the park, laughing and having a fun time made the day go by. I have many great memories there and I continue to make them as a guest and when I supervise during the PFN season.
