May 30, 2012 at 9:37 comment added user18119 @wxu, thanks. For your second question, I don't think there is a reasonnable answer. For example, if $Y$ is the spectrum of a field $K$, so $X\times Y= X$, then what would be $C$ ? Remember that you can't recover the ring $A$ from $X$.
