$\begingroup$ Thanks! I gave this a try. Apparently, NSolve takes more than 10 times longer than FindRoot to compute, so when I have 30,000 repetitions it's going to take a lot of time to complete. Still, it seems to produce the right answer, which is nice. $\endgroup$
