- 3$\begingroup$ Is it possible to put your dataset into a form that can be imported as JSON (RawJSON)? $\endgroup$Carl Woll– Carl Woll2018-05-02 23:28:46 +00:00Commented May 2, 2018 at 23:28
- 1$\begingroup$ Why not put your data in a database and use either DatebaseLink or MongoLink? I note also that the size of Datasets/Associations is enormous compared to e.g. a csv file. If I had data much more than 50-100MB (as csv) I would be using a database every time $\endgroup$Mike Honeychurch– Mike Honeychurch2018-05-03 02:38:42 +00:00Commented May 3, 2018 at 2:38
- $\begingroup$ Do you think it could be a good idea? We are talking about two dataset (2GB and 50GB) @CarlWoll $\endgroup$Carmine Ragone– Carmine Ragone2018-05-03 08:30:39 +00:00Commented May 3, 2018 at 8:30
- $\begingroup$ @MikeHoneychurch I am downloading the file locally in an external hard drive, and connecting it to my computer. I am not really interested in all the elements in it, just in some as you might see (there is more in the record, I omitted some for clarity purposes) and I was looking for a way to get them from the streaming and then having them into a Mathematica file to do some computations and that's it. I am really interested in a good way to catch them from the streaming record and put them in a list and join them. As easy as that. I am also open to new approaches. :) $\endgroup$Carmine Ragone– Carmine Ragone2018-05-03 08:41:11 +00:00Commented May 3, 2018 at 8:41

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. list-manipulation), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
