- $\begingroup$ Hallo, this looks very good! (Thank you also to David for first response.) I am still not comfortable with just associating a country's population and time zone, however. As an instance, Russia spans a lot of time zones, and the population is different in e.g. St. Petersburg or Siberia. Still, this is appreciated! $\endgroup$河上小太郎– 河上小太郎2019-01-03 10:22:19 +00:00Commented Jan 3, 2019 at 10:22
- $\begingroup$ Sure, that is fair. You might not want to accept my answer then, and see if anyone else can come up with something better. I guess how much you want to reproduce the xkcd plot exactly and how much you want an actual answer to the same question is something you should clarify. $\endgroup$SPPearce– SPPearce2019-01-03 10:23:59 +00:00Commented Jan 3, 2019 at 10:23

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. list-manipulation), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
