Take a look at the benefits & features that make WP Activity Log a must-have plugin for your WordPress websites.
Monitor user actions and changes
Whether you need to keep an eye on changes your clients and freelancers are making, detect account sharing on membership sites, monitor for risky changes made by employees, or something else, the plugin ensures you have a log of which users made which changes, when, and from where.
Meet compliance requirements
Ensure you can prove compliance and meet requirements by keeping a log of what happens on your site. Whether it’s GDPR, PCI-DSS, 501(c), SOX, or other important legislation, WP Activity Log can help you meet logging and data integrity requirements.
Manage user sessions in real-time
Using the session management feature, you can remotely terminate sessions, block simultaneous same-user sessions, and automatically terminate idle sessions; with email notifications so that you can truly manage your WordPress from anywhere.
Detect security issues and website defacement
Changes to settings, user account privileges, or plugin configurations can indicate a potential security issue. The plugin helps you identify these changes and more to ensure you’re made aware of security issues before they escalate.
Generate activity log reports
Generate user and system reports from the activity log, covering updates, installations, user activity, and much more. Reports are fully configurable and include white-labeling options. You can also schedule daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports to be sent automatically to your inbox.
The most comprehensive log on the market
The plugin keeps more than a login log, collecting data across the board. Each logged event includes information such as the date and time, the event ID, severity, the user and their role, the IP address, as well as other details about the change.
What our customers are saying about WP Activity Log
I work for a marketing company and am in charge of keeping all of our contracted sites up to date, in doing so we also need to track who is doing what, where, and when… this plugin does exactly that. Furthermore, I had a slight issue today, the support team literally had a fix to me within minutes. Wish all plugin devs were like you folks 🙂 Thank you very much!

I’ve tested alot of logging solutions for WordPress and this plugin is by far the best. The impact on site performance is very low. And with the recently added mirror options to push logs to a central log aggregation service it was a no brainer for us. Support is friendly and quick when needed. Highly recommended!

The plugin does exactly what it says and does it great! In addition, as a developer, I had the chance to take a look at the “engine”, i.e. the code, and that’s one of the best-coded WordPress plugins that I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen hundreds). Very modular and extensible, and the object-oriented architecture is superb. Kodus!

Great plugin to observe everything happening. Allowed us to detect a couple IP’s abusing our login as well as monitor staff’s activity. Great plugin all around.

I used the payed version for a startup with a fairly complex WordPress & WooCommerce Subscriptions project and it gave us more peace of mind that we were able to quickly see what users are doing and how the automated payments and changes were working. Can highly recommend using this plugin to gain more insight into your WordPress installation.

It’s easy to keep track of changes to a website when I am the only one making changes. BUT: when the client wants to personally make changes to their website, or they hire a 3rd party to make changes… things can get crazy. Examples: Why is the website down? Why does the home page look different than last month? Why are there 404 errors? That’s where an activity logger such as WP Activity Log comes in handy… and can save your bu## – LOL AND: Good support if/when an issue arises.

Frequently Asked Questions
If it’s a change that WP Activity Log already tracks, the plugin will still log the change, just with less information. If it’s not a change we track yet, then it won’t be logged. However, we encourage you to reach out if this happens to you. If there’s enough demand for a feature, we can add it to the product roadmap.
The plugin stores the activity log in a number of dedicated tables in the WordPress database. With the Premium edition of the plugin you can store the logs in an external database, archive them, and even mirror them / or send them to a SIEM solution such as AWS Cloudwatch. More information.
