| Nov 17 at 16:41 | comment | added | Philippe Cloutier | @SonictheAnonymousHedgehog: This does not seem to cover the case of migrating your own question. | |
| Oct 25, 2024 at 6:09 | comment | added | Perry | It's apparently possible, via some "special and not-well-known process" for moderators to migrate questions older than 60 days. | |

| Jun 1, 2021 at 9:14 | comment | added | Mari-Lou A Слава Україні | @Luuklag I didn't say the previous edit was perfect, but you have to admit the two errors that were fixed were good improvements. I just mentioned it because you may have overlooked the good corrections. | |
| Jun 1, 2021 at 9:11 | comment | added | Luuklag | @Mari-LouA the edit introduced new errors. For me that is plenty of reasons to reject it. | |
| Jun 1, 2021 at 9:00 | comment | added | Mari-Lou A Слава Україні | @luuklag Not all the suggested corrections were wrong or harmful, for example origin question does not make sense it should be original question. Substituting the relative pronoun "which" with "that" would be approved by purists, I couldn't care less either way. Simply explain in the reason is another weird wording that was improved by the previous edit. In any case that first typo I mentioned? Yeah... it should be fixed. If this were a different site, I'd do it myself but not here. | |

| Mar 23, 2019 at 6:19 | comment | added | animuson StaffMod | @SonictheWizardWerehog I'd imagine he's abusing aome direct path that's technically not supposed to work but since only staff can abuse it who cares. We used to do a similar thing to create fake duplicate close votes to add multiple duplicate targets before there was UI to edit the duplicate targets. I wouldn't call it a staff feature though. That only creates more confusion because most staff won't have any clue what you're talking about. | |
| Mar 23, 2019 at 6:02 | comment | added | animuson StaffMod | @SonictheWizardWerehog No idea what Shog is talking about, but that's not what happened with the mod Q&A. The post was migrated normally, and moderators deleted the migration history on both sides at later times. That is a normal tool that diamond moderators have always had. | |
| Mar 23, 2019 at 5:56 | comment | added | Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog | @animuson See this chat message and the messages proceeding it. This tool was used here (resulting in this) and here (resulting in this). It caused some confusion on MSO. | |
| Mar 23, 2019 at 5:52 | comment | added | animuson StaffMod | @SonictheWizardWerehog Where did you get this weird idea of silent migration from? No such thing exists. And that is not how questions were migrated during the split. | |

| Jan 8, 2017 at 19:16 | comment | added | Aurora0001 | @3N1GM4: 3,000 is the amount of rep (on non-beta sites) you need to vote to close a question. Flagging under the 'should be closed...' option for migration does not actually vote to close and migrate, it simply pushes the post you flagged into a review queue for users with more than 3k to review - only voting to close will actually have any effect. | |
| Dec 20, 2016 at 17:37 | comment | added | 3N1GM4 | Where does the 3,000 rep threshold come into play? I do not have 3k rep on any SE site and yet I can flag questions for migration to a site in the "this question belongs on another site" list... | |

| Nov 28, 2013 at 4:46 | comment | added | Aaron Bertrand Staff | Also I think "Avoid migrating answered questions." should be clarified further, e.g. questions with accepted answers. Just because a question has answers does not mean it has been answered, that the answers that already exist are of any respectable quality, or that it won't get better answers on the destination site. The motivation for migration is not always because it can't be answered on the source site; sometimes it's just that it has the best chance at getting the best answer at the destination. | |
| Nov 28, 2013 at 4:44 | comment | added | Aaron Bertrand Staff | Can we clarify here what happens to up- and down-votes on answers that exist at the time of migration? It is clear the rep from those votes is reversed, but I believe the score of the answer remains intact when it arrives at the destination site. | |
