- Another useful answer that can possibly be distilled and mixed in here: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/135042/…slugster– slugster2012-06-10 12:03:21 +00:00Commented Jun 10, 2012 at 12:03
- 2There's currently an election at superuser, and it's in the "election" phase. I only like 2 candidates, do I need to cast all the 3 votes? I arrived here looking for this information but this explanation doesn't seem to answer my question... :(msb– msb2017-03-20 23:31:13 +00:00Commented Mar 20, 2017 at 23:31
- 3No @msb, you definitely don't need to cast all 3 votes vote for whomever you feel comfortable with. I don't even think you need to cast the fjrst vote, but I'm unsure how the scoring situation would deal with that.ben is uǝq backwards– ben is uǝq backwards2017-03-21 06:14:23 +00:00Commented Mar 21, 2017 at 6:14
- It would assume no votes I presume, and not have any transference with less than 3 votes,.Journeyman Geek– Journeyman Geek2017-03-21 06:22:35 +00:00Commented Mar 21, 2017 at 6:22
- 1You mean if the first vote is not cast @Journeyman? That would be my assumption also.ben is uǝq backwards– ben is uǝq backwards2017-03-21 06:24:37 +00:00Commented Mar 21, 2017 at 6:24
- 1Fix#3: Winners of pro tem elections are elected with the understanding that when the site has its first full election, they must be nominated in that election as a candidate and be re-electedMari-Lou A Слава Україні– Mari-Lou A Слава Україні2021-06-02 08:42:48 +00:00Commented Jun 2, 2021 at 8:42
- @Mari-LouA Fixing 1 and 2. 3 is incorrect as that implies that others must nominate them; instead, users must themselves nominate in it.Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog– Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog2021-06-02 17:26:46 +00:00Commented Jun 2, 2021 at 17:26
- 1Nominated means a list of candidates who are eligible for election. If it's made clear in the beginning that candidates are self-nominated it doesn't need to reminded every single time.Mari-Lou A Слава Україні– Mari-Lou A Слава Україні2021-06-02 17:59:00 +00:00Commented Jun 2, 2021 at 17:59
- 1Have there been any primaries held since the updates to the election page? I'm guessing the UI may look a little different so the screenshot may be worth updating...V2Blast– V2Blast StaffMod2021-11-12 19:35:42 +00:00Commented Nov 12, 2021 at 19:35
- 1Sorry it's just me who gets notified @V2B. I haven't seen any but that doesn't mean much. The announcement only has the candidate view, but if you've got access to election data to find one or a dev environment to construct one that'd workben is uǝq backwards– ben is uǝq backwards2021-11-12 20:11:42 +00:00Commented Nov 12, 2021 at 20:11
- In the section “Phase 2: Primary”, it is mentioned that “There are no comments allowed.” While it’s true that one cannot comment under a candidate’s nomination post in the “Primary” tab on the election page, apparently one can still comment under a candidate’s nomination in the “Nomination” tab. (See: Inbox links break after nomination phase. Admittedly, this is from nearly a decade ago, but the election UI hasn’t really been fiddled around with either, not until the revamping this year.)The Amplitwist– The Amplitwist2021-11-27 11:48:57 +00:00Commented Nov 27, 2021 at 11:48
- It seems like the blog link at the end is not very relevant/useful, since there hasn't been a blog post with the "moderators" tag since 2014...V2Blast– V2Blast StaffMod2022-05-20 19:08:04 +00:00Commented May 20, 2022 at 19:08

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
