- 2@random: wouldn't have to. A timed meta redirect could display the old page for a moment, or the destination could be informed of the source and display the alternate wording as a "redirect from", Wikipedia-style...Shog9– Shog9 Staff2009-08-22 04:48:03 +00:00Commented Aug 22, 2009 at 4:48
- Does Google like the meta-redirects? Would it penalise the site if it was put in?random– random2009-08-22 05:00:09 +00:00Commented Aug 22, 2009 at 5:00
- @Shog9 if your time is that valuable, what are you doing here? ;-)Jürgen A. Erhard– Jürgen A. Erhard2010-01-13 19:30:45 +00:00Commented Jan 13, 2010 at 19:30

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
