- 11No, this migration is not going to touch chat. It's only going to touch posts (questions and answers) across the network. Personally I think we should keep things consistent (and that includes chat and other places) but it's an entirely different can of worms.Ham Vocke– Ham Vocke StaffMod2020-06-01 11:58:35 +00:00Commented Jun 1, 2020 at 11:58
- 3@HamVocke - so it doesn't affect comments either?Mithical– Mithical2020-06-01 11:59:18 +00:00Commented Jun 1, 2020 at 11:59

- 89Adding my voice here - now we're running 3 different, distinct dialects of markdown (Main, comments and chat) , and it would be really nice to have subsets of one running everywhere.Journeyman Geek– Journeyman Geek Mod2020-06-01 12:30:11 +00:00Commented Jun 1, 2020 at 12:30
- 2@Ham talking about can of worms, what will happen to Area 51? Will it be affected?user152859– user1528592020-06-01 12:36:06 +00:00Commented Jun 1, 2020 at 12:36
- 3@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance I don't know of anywhere on Area 51 that even use post Markdown. All the boxes there would use the watered-down comments Markdown system. The Area 51 meta site already runs off the same code as any other meta site.animuson– animuson StaffMod2020-06-01 12:56:29 +00:00Commented Jun 1, 2020 at 12:56

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
