Cub Linux

Cub Linux is a Ubuntu-based Linux distribution designed to mimic the look and feel of Chrome OS. While it does not use any components of Chrome OS or Chromium OS, Cub Linux leverages a variety of open-source software - most notably the Chromium web browser - to create a desktop that closely resembles Chrome OS and provides full compatibility with web apps from the Chrome Web Store.

One of the main advantages of Cub Linux is its support for traditional desktop applications, which are not available on Chrome OS, allowing users to run programs like LibreOffice, media players, and other standard Linux software alongside web-based tools. The last known release, version 1.0 RC, was published in January 2016.

This project was also formerly known as Chromixium.
