    $\begingroup$ Random means that happens unpredictably; while the probability of an outcome in quantum mechanics is perfectly predictable. Therefore I think the word "random" to describe a quantum process is wildly inaccurate. $\endgroup$ Commented May 28, 2015 at 16:22
