Countryview Challenges Guest DT feature - Use Something New To You
Hello everyone,
Today I am honoured to say that I am appearing over at Countryview Challenges as a guest DT. When I was kindly invited I jumped at the chance....then worried about it 5 minutes later!
The theme is: 'Use Something New To You' which was perfect timing as I'd just received a rather beautiful set of Luminarte Silks. These are super concentrated so a lot goes a very long way and the shimmer is unbelievable.....another crafting addiction......
I have long admired some of the art dolls I have seen on my travels in blogland so I thought why not give that a try? Warning...they are VERY addictive once you start making them! I now have a few around the house!
I've taken a couple of pictures throughout the process for you.

The heart is just a cardboard die cut covered in grungepaste for texture then the paint was applied. All the pieces of the art doll were adhered to cardboard too for extra strength and a loop of rusty tin wire was added for hanging.
I'm really pleased with how it turned out....there shall be many more no doubt. Any questions, ask away but its all pretty straight forward.
Thank you once again to the wonderful ladies at Countryview ;))
Hope you like it

Speed Craft Challenge - No.10
Hello everyone,
Time for another Speed Craft Challenge and this time it's the rather fab Amanda that has picked the theme of 'Music Inspired' for you all. Please pop along here to see what my lovely teamies have made and also there may be a prize on offer........
I was originally going to use my lovely Stampotique stamps for this and use the lyrics from the Pussycat Dolls for Don't Cha.....then I read the lyrics and had second thoughts!!! So, I thought I'd just stick to a birdie theme instead!
Please read the rules on the sidebar of the challenge blog as we had a few entries last time that had no mention of how long it took to create the masterpieces. You don't want to miss out on a prize now do you,as you can see,15 minutes is plenty of time to get those artistic thoughts going ;)
supplies at the ready
well within time limit

all finished
Dina Wakley stamps, the dot stamp is mine and the paper was kindly given to me by lovely Ingrid and the barbed wire die cut was given to me by the equally lovely Amanda.

Well now that all the festivities have been and gone it's back to the normal blogging routine.
