Here's my last 2 tags for Tim's April challenge. Must say I really enjoyed this one perhaps because I have the stamps for once ;)

2nd tag is: Tim Holtz flower stamp, Prima/ Finnabair stamp, Distress paints,Dylusions spray, copics, sizzix mixed media die cut....no sewing on this one ;)

Recycle and re-use

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all okay out there,

A big thanks for the lovely comments you've all been leaving me lately,I know how time consuming it is so I really do appreciate it :)

I have a tag which I cut from some recycled Kraft card that was wrapped around a very special present for me which you can see here. Yes, I know I am very lucky!

On the tag I also recycled some material cut from a white shirt (the circles) that my OH no longer wanted.....I did check and he did say yes! I didn't attack the shirt with the scissors until AFTER I asked ;)

Rainy Day

Quick post from me today, the weather's turned a bit yuck down here in southern England so I made a card to reflect it :)

Yes it's time for another challenge over at Thats Crafty!  and this time the theme for you is: Let's keep it Simple so anything not too fussy really,CAS, that sort of style.

Tim's Tag April 2015.....Take Two!

Hello everyone,

Well it seems I might be going a bit mad with Tim's April tag theme this month, this is my second version and I have another 2 to show later. I can't believe how much I love these flower stamps and how versatile they are....if you haven't got yours yet,buy them,you won't regret it :)


I thought why not have one of the crazy birds holding a flower...makes perfect sense right?!


I've included a couple of close ups so you can see the crackle accents on the flower and bird.

Just my Cup of Tea

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather here in the Southern part of the UK....sorry to my Northern cousins as I know its not been that nice up there :/

I thought I'd make something useful for a change and as I am a tea fiend I thought about a tea caddy for my beloved teabags. I must add that this caddy contains just MY teabags....my OH just has his in a normal tea holder jar thingy....just the way things worked out....honest....

Before I start, I must give credit where it's due and I first thought of the idea after looking at this  website and this is where I got my measurements from so a good idea to use that as your template.

One more thing, thick card is definitely better for this but I only had mount board that was big enough at the time which is a bit on the thick side for it,very sturdy but a real pain to score.



So, here the mount board is already scored and ready to go

Here it is all assembled and stuck together with Scor-Tape,I painted it a rather groovy gold colour....not a colour I use much but after Thats Crafty! gold and silver challenge I grew to love my gold paint ;)

Here's my master board created on thick card, cut into strips to be further chopped up and adhered to the tea caddy. A mixture of stamp here but mostly Dina Wakley ones.

Here are pictures of the finished caddy....a clock on the lid so you set the time for tea of course!

Of course a tea caddy needs a bit of attitude so what better then lime green paint and Stampotique stamps?!

Mixed Media World - Use Bright Colours

Hello everyone,


I'm here today with my Mixed Media World DT arty apron on and this month the theme is chosen by the very lovely and very multi talented Amanda and it is: Use Bright Colours. 

Pop along here to see what my wonderful teamies have made just for you.

For this challenge the winner will receive 3 images of their choice from The Old Design Shop.


Yes you can use bright colours......don't be afraid, thats what your colour wheel is for! Dig it out and start to experiment, you may even find you discover a favourite colour combo that you never thought of before!

For my DT make I used a wooden door hanger that I gessoed first as I used some Gelatos. This is my 'Jane Davenport' style of face, great fun to do.

Gesso, Liquitex paints,Faber Castell Bead and Glitter gel, Gelatos, stickles, Prima stamp (circle) and a Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker.

Thats Crafty! Challenge - Grunge,Grunge,Grunge

Hello everyone,


Yay, at last it's Friday and we have a new challenge for you over at Thats Crafty! Challenge Blog, the theme is Grunge, Grunge, Grunge. A chance for you all to get as mucky and grunged up as you can, great fun.....until you have to clear up the mess of course!

A chance to win a HUGE £20 voucher to get some new goodies from the online shop......you lucky people.


The background for my tag came from a mop up session with some paints,often the best start in my opinion ;)

Decoart and Distress paints, stamps are Kaisercraft and Prima. The 'metal' looking bits I got on a sheet,they are a grungy industrial theme and of course all topped off with lovely, rusty wire.

Decoart Goodies

Hello everyone,

Happy to see it's gradually warming up down here in Southern England, makes everything happier and brighter doesn't it.

I'm sure that most of you know by now that the lovely people at Decoart are doing a couple of programs for people to participate in so they can showcase their wonderful products. Well, of course I jumped at the chance as I love their products and I do use a lot of paints and pastes for my mixed media stuff. My goodies arrived yesterday so I got to playing with some things. How great is this stencil?

The media misters are yummy ( I only had green and pink before) and the fluid acrylics are truly lovely to work with. This was done on greyboard with a Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker to finish it all off.

Tim Holtz April 2015 Tag

Hello everyone,


Well I'm sure most of you have been good and haven't had too much chocolate..........


When I saw Tim's stunning tag for this month, I though I'd play along as I have these stamps. Unfortunately, for those of you who don't have this set yet they are sold out everywhere as they are so popular and its easy to see why. They make such a stunning focal point and are a joy to colour in.

I thought I'd keep it really simple and let the image do the talking......and yes that is REAL stitching....who knew?!
