Hello everyone,

Wow, I think Summer has finally arrived here in the UK.....now it's too hot to craft....especially using the heat gun!

Yes I know I'm really late for this but I have a great excuse, I've been waiting for Tim's teacup die to be back in stock but sadly no joy with that. It seems only one place sells it over here and they've been out of stock for ages.
I really wanted a cuppa on my tag to reflect my obsession  love for tea so in the end I thought just draw one and cut it out of cardboard...job done ;)

Stencils really are the Best!

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all covered in crafting paint out there.....well there's worse things to be doing!

When I saw that ATP Exchange new challenge theme was to use Crafters Workshop stencils I was pretty pleased to say the least....I LOVE them....well in fact I love all stencils really! They also have a brilliant offer on where there's free p&p on all 6x6 Crafters Workshop stencils so of course guess who just 'had' to get a couple more......

For my creation, I just stuck entirely to Crafters Workshop stencils, nothing else.

Go where the Wild Flowers are

Hello everyone,


Hope you are all okay out there.


I have a painting on an MDF plaque for you today.....I know, where's the wood?! This was kindly donated to me by my lovely bloggy friend Amanda so of course it would have been rude not to make something with it of course.

   This is the 'before' picture but this is the reverse side as I'd already started on it before I remembered but you get the idea!

   Background made with all Decoart products, paint was brayered on. A splash of a  Media Mister in White was added after.

Finished plaque with the addition of a Tim Holtz butterfly stamp. All flowers painted with Decoart Media Fluid Acrylic Paints.

Mixed Media World - Masculine/Father's Day

Hello everyone,

Time for a new challenge over at Mixed Media World and it's little old me thats chosen the theme this time: Masculine/Father's Day.


For this challenge, we are thrilled to announce that

are offering the winner a £20 voucher! Although I love being on DTs' I do miss out on some fab prizes...make sure you don't ;)

For this challenge, I went down the Steampunk route as I consider that quite masculine. This was done on Paperartsy Greyboard which can cope with anything you sling at it.

Fresco paints and crackle glaze, Decoart Quin Gold paint ( rust in a bottle, love it), Distress paints, Dylusions Coffee spray, Art Journey stamp ( handsome chap, isn't he), X Cut cog die cuts, Cheery Lynn barbed wire die cut, rusty wire and various bits of pieces of Tim Holtz stuff and some mechanical looking cut outs. 

The lightbulb top was rusted using rusting powder, the bulb was coated with a yellow alcohol ink and then a layer of crackle accents applied to it.

Thats Crafty! Challenge - All That Glitters

For this I made a card using a butterfly stamp I carved. The butterflies were then covered in Faber Castel Bead and Glitter Gel which is really sparkly! Word of warning with it though....NEVER speed up the drying with a heat gun, it turns it all stringy and horrible, air dry is best for that.

Speedy carve block, Memento inks and Distress Inks, Decoart Andy Skinner stencil and a Tim Holtz sentiment.
