Leafy Loveliness

Hello everyone,

I have a drawing for you today with a leafy, Autumnal feel to it. To be fair, here down in the south of the UK the weather is lovely, really sunny which is highly surprising!!

I'm trying to draw my faces in a variety of styles but all of you out there who draw, you know what a struggle it can be to deviate from your 'style'. Many a time I think I've done something different then a nagging thought persists that it looks familiar and yes there's one just like it done months ago....very annoying!

Thats Crafty! Challenge - Girls will be Girls

Hello everyone,

Time for another challenge over at Thats Crafty! and this fortnights theme is: Girls will be Girls.

Autumnal Vibes

Hello everyone,

Well yes Autumn is well and truly here in the UK. I always think of Autumn as a really lovely time of year with the Harvest Food festival at school in October when I was little.....many years ago of course!

I saw a little fox image while browsing on Pinterest and used that as my inspiration for my drawing. I usually just rely on drawing straight from my head but sometimes it's good to seek inspiration elsewhere ;)

Tim Holtz September 2015 Tag

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well out there.

You'll all be happy to know that first thing Saturday morning a brand new, shiny kettle was installed in my kitchen and copious amounts of lovely tea have been made since with it. Do you know that you can even get a 'wi fi kettle' that allows you to turn it on via your mobile and has a 'welcome home' mode?! Wow, who thought boiling water could be so sophisticated now!

Anyway, today I have my version of the Master of Grunge's September tag featuring Tim's big and small butterflies. I pretty much stuck to the original methods but used Wendy Vecchi's 'clearly for art' as my perspex.

Serendipity is a Cat

Well I had a major crisis this morning.....went to switch the kettle on for my much needed first cuppa of the day.....nothing happened!! Back to boiling the water on the cooker top like the good old days...not impressed!

I have a drawing for you today of a rather naughty looking cat, this one is not based on my little ray of sunshine but she's been totally awful since we got back from holiday, I'll say no more!

Create Art

Hello everyone,

I'm back in the land of live blogging...did you all miss me?! Can I just say a really heartfelt, big thank you to all you lovely ladies who took the time to still leave wonderful comments on my scheduled posts...you lot really are stars ;)

I've just returned from a little break in France,  I took a few crafting supplies but sadly only managed to carve a few stamps...the rest of my efforts were binned! Don't you just hate it when your arty mojo goes and you feel like you've never made anything before in your life......hmmm.....

Anyway, I have made a card as a welcome back featuring the little face stamp I carved on holiday.

Mixed Media World challenge - Anything Goes using Autumn Colours

Wow, another month has just flown by and now we are into Autumn already! 
My lovely teamie Laine has chosen the theme for this month's challenge and its a brilliant one: Anything Goes using Autumn Colours. So, there's plenty of choice there for you, use all the colours of Autumn/Fall or just a couple, the choice is all yours.

We are sponsored by

For my challenge creation, I used some Paperartsy Greyboard and Decoart paints.

Decoart paints and Media Misters, Decoart Modelling paste, Stencils are: Crafters Workshop and Dina Wakley, stamps are: Prima, Crafters Companion, Paperartsy. Butterflies are die cut from a Gelli print, Tim Holtz die cut leaf was coloured with Distress paints and the skeleton leaf was sprayed with Dylusions.


Yes it really is that deep a colour too!
