Bio

Two years of WordPress, then a creative WordPress break for a cool side project – but now I’m itching to get back into WordPress and the community.

WordPress Origin Story

It all began in spring 2022 when an old friend 📞 called me after we reconnected and said: “You’ve always been the IT guy 🤓, right? Then you probably know WordPress 🌐 too… I could use some backup for the website team at my company.” – I had no clue about WordPress back then 🤷‍♂️ (but was pretty handy with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). Two weeks, lots of coffee ☕, and a crash course 🎓 later, I was fully on board 🚀. After two years and a detour into another project, I realized I wanted to get back to WordPress 🤩. WordCamp 2025 in Basel gave me the final push 🔥 – no more waiting, time to rejoin the WordPress fun 🥳.
