  • I actually badly failed an interview that was very important to me because the interviewer insisted on "guiding me" when he considered me to be on the wrong track. He kept jumping in and correcting me without really giving me a chance to think through ideas. Lets face it, being forced to track your thought processes out loud for the convenience of the interviewer is utter crap. It's just another symptom of the actual underlying problem: no one's actually figured out how to effectively interview developers yet. Commented Jan 6, 2014 at 21:02
