Providing answers to questions put by others is indeed an extremely effective method of learning - and you don't just learn about the topic yourself, you learn about how other people think about the topic, and how to explain it to others.

Are your colleagues, blog, etc. sufficient for you at this point? Are there better resources than SO which we should know about?
