Need your opinions please…
Ok – I need your opinions. Be totally honest.. it’s not too late.

I’ve made 3 setting blocks so far and I am using the same cream fabric that I sent each of you for the blocks – along with the deep red version. But now as I see them together – I’m worried that the red is too dark and over powering.
I didn’t use the red anywhere in any of the stars. And I thought it would help to pull the reds out of the stars.
Do you think it will look ok all together and the stars will all POP ? Or should I opt for a more muted fabric?
What are your thoughts? Talk to me.
Star Sampler – Week 10
Here it is! There was ALOT of fudging involved in the making of this square. I just couldn’t quite make it work with one of the given measurements for the Flying Geese patches around the border (errors with my technique, I’m sure, but nonetheless…..). So after a lot of seam ripping, I re-cut some of the brown fabric using my own measurements and then trimmed back. As the saying: “All’s well that ends well,” and I do think that it’s beautiful. Heidi, your fabric selections are gorgeous, and this quilt is going to be gorgeous when it’s put together. This was a fantastic idea, and I can’t wait to see more stars and the final product.
Due to the holiday, I think it will probably be in the mail on Monday.
Happy New Year to all of you,
Sorrel
The blocks are rolling in…
I’ve received two blocks and they are so pretty! Here is a picture of them with the block that I made along with a setting block that I have done.

This is going to be so pretty! I’m so excited.
But remember.. no rush. I know it’s a busy time for people and I still have 11 setting blocks to make. yikes!!
Thank you everyone! You are such talented people.
Week #9 for Heidi
I think this is a fun idea. I received week 9. I must say, if I had been working on this block for myself (and doing 11 more), I most certainly would not have put as much effort into trying to make the corners line up. It’s not perfect, but not too bad. If I do say so myself.
Thanks for putting this one together Heidi! 🙂
Heidi’s block #11
Here is the block that Heidi assigned to me, #11. I have to say that when I saw that there were triangles involved, I was a bit nervous. I don’t get along with triangle points very well, but I must be getting better because I am very happy with the result. I hope you enjoy this Heidi!

Finally.. I’m mailing my fabs!
I decided on a pattern, picked out the fabric and did the math. Now I’ve finally packaged it all up and it’s going in the mail tomorrow.
Let’s hope I did the math correctly – let me know if you don’t have enough fabric. No worries on getting them back by the end of the month. I’m late getting them out and I know everyone is busy this time of year.
November/December
Hi all,
Curious to know what the plan is for November and December.
Hope all of you are well!!
