Timeline for If an attack causes additional damage after a saving throw, is it counted as a separate source of damage for the purpose of failed death saves?

If I were DMing and this issue came up, I'd more than likely not have the downed player suffer a failed death save as a house rule (ie, same result as this interpretation, using DM fiat instead). | |
