\$\begingroup\$ Note that the bonus to grapple from Deepspawn and Aberration Blood do not stack. Ergo, it is nearly always superior to go for Inhuman Reach. The exception to this is if you have 8 levels of Black Blood Cultist, as the Savage Grapple ability automatically uses all your natural attacks, and deepspawn's mostly otherwise useless tentacles can deliver extra totemist/incarnate/sneak attack/power attack damage. Additionally, Inhuman Reach opens up Extended Reach from Savage Species, for a total natural reach increase of +10'. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Jul 18, 2014 at 8:54
  • \$\begingroup\$ I didn't mention Frostrager in my answer as it gives too little 'bang for buck' at this level and would require him to take 2 feats (although one is a fighter bonus feat). Primeval has similar problems but worse, slightly more bang for buck but 3 feats that makes entering it before level 19 impossible. Also he's already taking a transformative prestige class. Mostly people don't want to take multiple of those for flavour reasons. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Jul 18, 2014 at 8:58
  • \$\begingroup\$ Also, -1 for saying that being a badass bardbarian disciple of dragons = no coherent theme. That's an incredibly coherent theme. The assumption that multiclassing = minmaxing is incredibly poisonous and I will consistently downvote any answer that states or implies it. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Jul 18, 2014 at 8:59
  • \$\begingroup\$ Also worth noting that the two arms do not stack with each other except in uses of the weakening ability. Same source, same bonus, see here; wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20040210a . Additionally, no character can ever have an inherent bonus to a single score of higher than +5. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Jul 18, 2014 at 9:06
