Too bare

After attaching fringe to 1776 and displaying with the other patriotic finishes, the heart looked so naked.  It needs a trim.

Narrowed it down to a gold dmc braid, or dark brown poms.  Seems the brown frames it much nicer.  The gold will fade unless I choose a very dark shade.

Progress on Isabella.  I may consider moving those initials up, but for only one row I don't know if it's worth it.  That dmc on this tight 40 count will leave a pink area from fuzz.  Sometimes red just leaves its mark no matter how well it's removed.  Those flourishes won't be as crisp ... but maybe the red will remove completely.  Take the chance?

Have a good weekend.

The fix is in

Fairly sure.

Corrected the first section of vine.
Stitched the right side initials lower to match the incorrect left side.
Shortened the flower bases by one row.
That will allow the flowers to fit under the flourished initials.
(Second one actually touches the flourish in chart)

Except for the vine part, nothing was frogged, just made minor adjustments as stitching continued.  The chart calls for a bluish shade in JF but I didn't follow.  Should be a simple stitch.  Phft.  Not so far!!

Enjoy the weekend.

Not a good start

 to Isabella Hardy.

The first vine section is not done correctly which threw the remaining off.  Hardy was counted off of it and is correct, but the preceding flourished initials are too low because they were counted off of that first incorrect vine section.

My option is to remove that section, stitch correctly one row higher, making it too close to the initials.  I am not redoing them.  Not a fancy elegant piece so it will be off, bugging me since I need my ducks in a row.  Setting it aside.  I am so tired of making more errors in the last eight projects than previous two dozen.

Enjoy the weekend.  Be safe.

A few journals left

 from the box sale days.

With no sampler labels for them, paper will do.

I'll lightly ink the edges when dry.

Must have been the angle

Or the curve of the pillow.
When I saw this sampler snippet, it really appealed to me.

So I bought it.

Then I stitched it.

No matter how I changed the legs, eyes, face, ears, nothing helped.  It's like the online date that shows up looking nothing like their photo.

Within a sampler ... interesting.  But some folks don't do well on their own.

Lots of stitching in this small, and lots of frogging in its future.  I need to revamp that melon head and pink tights.  Now?  Not sure.  Maybe just a smaller melon as it appears in the photo.  The one probably used for the online dating profile.

Thursday it's my brother's turn at the cardiology office.  He took the same PET stress test, was called next day.  Echo and ekg normal, this new test is amazing.  Earliest I could be scheduled is 4/23 (that was over two weeks ago), so I'm anxious to see his date.  Pittsburgh would require a new patient consult and follow ups, we are going with the only other option 40 minutes away, but thankfully a good facility.

The "situation" has my nephew so depressed, in addition to still grieving for Carole, he wouldn't eat with us for Easter.  It will take months to work this out, and if not, my broomstick will be breaking speed limits.

Be safe folks.

Happy Easter

Temperature in the 80s today.

Hubs is making spaghetti sauce.  I'm coloring.

And still making errors.

 Thank you Brenda!

Wishing you a blessed Easter.
