  • I second this answer. In theory fTPM can be more secure than discreet TPMs against local hardware attacks. However, fTPM are implemented in software in the TEE of the processor, which includes it own OS and apps. This increase the attack surface by adding potential bugs, side-channels and communication paths with the main processor. Commented May 16, 2023 at 15:03
