  • You are mixing up clients side with front end. In enterprise applications, the backend is the place where the data is stored and orders are processed, including the bigger business logic. the front end is the stuff that calls these backend systems to drive the webside (with whatever technology), a desktop app, or a mobile app. This is all considered front end coding.
