However, idiots like this shouldn't detract for the value of understanding things that, in the beginning, seem difficult, shell programming vs dragging GUI things around is often a hell of a lot more efficient. And if certain C++ centric factors are absolutely necessary, then C++ is the way to go. (ie. high performance, or more essentially, the use of a C or C++ library/existing codebase... etc.) - basically, if you're not pragmatic, forget this line of work. | |
