But, I do not believe in "general purpose" languages - none of them is really general enough, so still there is a plenty of space for new "somewhat general" languages (which are all, in fact, DSLs of a sort).
Mar 29, 2011 at 11:12 comment added JesperE Today there are several frameworks for creating your own customised DSLs, which I don't really cover what I was trying to say (this was 2 years ago). I should probably reformulate it as "implementing a new general-purpose language from scratch is in practise never the right way to go." :)
