a DSV file is not a rom. Stop opening a DSV file as a ROM. clean up all garbage from failed attempts load the NDS watch where it drops the dsv close desmume replace the dsv with the one you want to use

No, I just wanted to do it for you. This stuff is flaky. It's easier to do it than explain it. It's like juggling. use the attached dsv. The following steps are just common sense, not mystical. make backups of everything clear out anything seemingly related. start the emulator and load the rom. CLOSE it check where the .dsv was placed replace it with the one I attached

Even this website only offers to download ver. 0.9.11. 2. It is the European version. I play the game in French. 3. I did not know that either; I probably messed it up while tinkering with my files. I will change the extension so that it matches the file type with the proper extension. I am assuming the fix you suggest...

Sorry, I accidentally deleted your attachment 1. Why are you using 0.9.11 instead of 0.9.13 2. Are you using E or U (or JP..) version of the game 3. For your information, this is not actually a .dsv file. It's a raw .sav file with the wrong extension.

For reference and any testing needs, the save file I am talking about is attached to this post. The "legacy" part of the file name only refers to the fact that it's my old game with hundreds of hours put into it.

I removed the hacks and cheats but my game crashes I downloaded the most recent version and it shows me that my game is reset.

If desmume is running poorly enough that you have to restart your computer, then your computer is very unhealthy. If you must continue using this unhealthy computer (dusty fans, failing power supplies, leaking capacitors) then make frequent backups of your saves. If NONE of the old saves open, then either your computer is about to drop dead, or you don't understand what you're doing with your files. you may have suddenly started using a different (differently hacked?) rom which doesn't match the...

This is an old version of desmume. Use a newer version. Stop using hacks and cheats. Don't use savestates. Save in-game frequently, close the emulator, and reopen it. But perhaps you just ran into a rare bug in the game.

You didn't save. Or you lost your save files. This may have happened if you ran desmume directly from the zipfile or %TEMP%. Dearchive all files to a directory on your desktop and work from there.

Yep. You must save in-game frequently to avoid this problem. Also this shouldn't be a problem on the latest version of the emulator, but nobody ever uses that...

Looks like your kid brother adjusted your monitor gamma settings or somehow set a per-application color filter in the GPU or windows color management setting. Has nothing to do with desmume itself. Your kid brother may have also changed config > display method which conflicts unfavorably with bad GPU drivers

Good evening, I would like to report a situation that happened to me: I was playing normally, so I saved the game itself and then I went to reset looking for a pokemon of a specific nature, but I ended up clicking loud on the emulator by reflex and now the game save doesn't come back, is there anything I can do? 😥

stop using savestates, stop using hacks, stop using cheats, stop using wifi features in the game. even though you used the key term "save in game" the bug you describe sounds a lot like "I am using savestates." are you sure you're not using savestates? if not, you're probably using a hacked rom.

You know, I am still new to all of the mods for these... I am SO grateful. I only intended to skip the long training slog I would have been in, and the rare candies made streaming the game very difficult. This fixed it for me and I'm so grateful.
