"you can't put the SHA-1 of a commit itself into the file during the same commit" You "can", in the sense that it is technically possible...if you're willing to wait a long while for a process to figure out how. What you presumably mean to say is: "it is not feasible with current hardware or algorithms (at least available to the public in 2015-2019) to do this in a reasonable amount of time".
