I'm definitely not a dba so I respect your guys' advice. Definitely glad I asked here as I don't think I had things straight in my mind as to where the performance bottlenecks were in a sql query. I was much more focused on lookups than I/O. Thanks

create code fences with backticks ` or tildes ~

like so

add language identifier to highlight code

put returns between paragraphs
for linebreak add 2 spaces at end

indent code by 4 spaces
backtick escapes `like _so_`
quote by placing > at start of line
to make links (use https whenever possible)
