  • It's been a long time since I booted windows, but try the id command. If that takes a long time, ... I forget how you fix that, but it's at least something I've seen Commented Mar 31, 2017 at 14:35
  • I was using Git-2.28 which was slow, I downgraded it to Git-2.26.2-64-bit, It is much faster. I am not sure why. Commented Oct 20, 2020 at 18:47
