- 7so, what does that mean? Is "✰" valid/allowed?David Murdoch– David Murdoch2010-12-10 16:34:30 +00:00Commented Dec 10, 2010 at 16:34
- 12To expand a bit on a very useful answer: "UTF-8" is the character set, and "Q" means the value will be "quoted-printable". "B" could also be used if you wanted to BASE64-encode the value.GargantuChet– GargantuChet2014-06-30 21:53:18 +00:00Commented Jun 30, 2014 at 21:53
- 1@porneL, So what does "opaque data" mean? What exactly should the HTTP recipient do when it receives these "opaque data"?Pacerier– Pacerier2014-12-10 10:57:26 +00:00Commented Dec 10, 2014 at 10:57
- 1@Pacerier "opaque data" means it's a black box with a bunch of bytes that applications shouldn't try to display or interpret (like binary data). What happens with it depends on the header, might range from "nothing" to "discard".Kornel– Kornel2014-12-10 19:15:41 +00:00Commented Dec 10, 2014 at 19:15

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. python-3.x), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
