  • Hi thanks for help. Please see the edits. I saw that linger.ms was set to quite a high value @ 300ms. Can that be the reason for build up? Commented Sep 18, 2018 at 13:17
  • Yes,it might be the culprit.Increasing the linger.ms value improves throughput, but the buffering adds message delivery latency.You can set it to 10 or 5 ms and check for any memory leak. Commented Sep 18, 2018 at 16:19
  • In addition to this answer also have a look at the garbage collector logs, you can find if there are memory leaks or if changing its configuration helps. There are tools to help such this online: gceasy.io Commented Sep 19, 2018 at 9:46
